What a Doll
They make me smile:)
Yeah, She Pretty Much ROCKS
Awesome Hair
and they're ready to go
We head out and all of a sudden we have no idea where to go. It was still light out and didn't look like anyone else was going door to door. So we thought- lets go to the outlet mall first. The mall is right near the highway when Bryan mentions that the County Civic Center is throwing this huge Fright Night Bash. I hesitate because it's a 30 minute drive and the air is not working so well in his car. Yeah. We have two piece of poos. We're getting new ones, I'm just running these until they completely fail to work. I'm not a huge fan of payments seeing how they both are paid off and I like not having to pay an extra bill. Anyyyywayyyys....He asks the girls and they both Shout, "Haunted House"
Very well. We're off to the Haunted House. There was a couple stands handing out candy. Grateful. Because they were worried they weren't going to get any candy and that would just ruin the tradition. After walking around for a few we get ready to go into the spooky house.
We're in. They're not too sure about this. But wait this is only the beginning. They hear the saw going off. They hear the screams, they see the caskets right before you enter.
At this point, Bryan has already scared the crap out of them. They are ripping my pants off because they're hanging on so tight. He's laughing all the while I'm trying to capture every scene with my camera. I wanted to video so you could hear the fear in their voices. It was complete fright.
This lady behind us kept saying, "I wish my camera would take shots in the dark." Yeah. It wasn't light at all. I could barely see what I was running into. On top of having my kids holding onto my shirt and pants, complete strangers were bumping into me because they were scared.
Holding on for dear life.
That's so horrible. Hannah was not as scared as Mackenzie. Mack is yelling she's going to have nightmares for the rest of her life. Indeed she did.
They thought this was the end. They thought WRONG-
I had no idea what this guy looked like until I viewed the photos. Uck. Need I say more.
These guys with the loud saws ran right towards us and my kids went running right out the door without me. I was standing there trying to get pictures and they said the hell with that. I'm outta here.
and so they thought the nightmare was over. Not quite.
A moment to calm.
They think we're just on a hay ride.
Those pretty smiles turned right into frowns.
Haha. Mackenzie hiding behind my back. I had no sympathy. I couldn't help but crack up when I saw this picture.
Hannah was being brave. You could see she was a wee bit scared.
Funs over...let's go eat ma.
We all got in the shower as soon as we got in the door. That hair was a hot mess. We snuggled in my bed with some popcorn, watched Dogs 101 as Hannah fell right to sleep. I carried her into her room thinking she was going to sleep through the night. Na.
She popped into my room 3 times and finally cried,
"I want to be in tha same bed."
Mackenzie was in Hannah's room. I purposely let her sleep in there thinking they would sleep better. Hannah has two twin beds so it's fun whenever they have sleepovers. Mack has a queen size so I just brought Miss H in there to fall asleep. By this time I had been up so much putting her back in her own bed that this was the only way we were getting any sleep. Thanks Mom & Dad.
You would think that a queen size bed would suit the both of us. This kid was tossing, turning and kicking me for hours. The door creeps open at 4:30am and Mackenzie is sleep walking. I asked her if she was okay. She mumbles something or another. I can always tell when she sleep walks. She's rather funny. Oh the stories I tell this girl after she wakes up the next morning. She doesn't believe the half of it but it's true. I let her crawl into bed with Hannah so I could get some relief from being kicked. I'll just let her get kicked. Ah well they both kick so let em' kick each other. Get me outta there.
They're doing quite well this morning. Happy to be alive. Playing dress up. Hannah was dying to try on those wings. They now think the adventure was funny and I'm sure the stories will last a lifetime.

Wow, you are brave. I don't know if I would ever take my kids to a haunted house! Of course, I am not a big fan of being scared either, so that might be part of the problem. They look adorable, and I love the face paint and the hair. Glad to hear you all had a wonderful albeit sleepless Halloween!
ahahh great pics!! Kids look so cute.
Those chain saws always scared the crap out of me. The thought of "what if someone is really twisted and switched it out with a real one?" always popped into my head.
Oh yeah! I have two awards for you on my site!
Very cute pictures!
I am scared of haunted houses! So the thought would never cross my mind to make it a family event LOL. As it was the two neighbors down the street were dressed up with chainsaws. I didn't go down there either!
Glad you had a good time.

Don't you hate getting that out of their hair??? I did the boys black for the bat costumes. It took me 3 baths drains and 3 shampoos to get it out! UGH
