Really. It's that cold here in SW FL. We've lived here three years and never had it get this cold. Now I know it's nothing compared to other parts of the country but when you get used to warmth you get jolted when this happens. Mind you, we've never had to wear jackets before so I think we only own a few sweaters or pull overs, no coats. Not to mention I had to run to Target and get them some gloves. Crazy. Well. They have been trapped inside the Wii since Christmas, so I shooed them outdoors for a bit to run around, climb trees and let their energy get wild. It's been a while since Miss H climbed a tree so we couldn't miss a moment. They love the back yard. It's so huge, they get lost just running. I have to be out there with them because Miss H goes yonder to find friends. It drives me nuts because the little lake is right there and even though I tell them to stay back by the house they get curious to see what's in there besides the ducks and birds.

Notice: They hold onto their webkinz and zhu zhu pets for dear life.
So they had a blast in the cold but I had to seriously rush in. Way too cold for me. I can't imagine moving back up north. I'm spoiled with sunshine. Oh. Don't let me forget. The dogs are still going in my yard. And she's trying to be all hush hush hurry hurry so no one sees. I see. I see lots of things.

You have beautiful kids. We also do not know cold, it never snows, it never even goes below 4 degrees C. no Frost, only lots of wind.
If I put on a jacket for 30 days a year, it is a lot. otherwise I walk around in short sleeves and shorts, even in winter.
The only way to stop a dog from doing that is to give it a huge scare, only thing is he must not see where it comes from. Like a balloon bursting while he is doing his thing, or a bb gun pellet on his bum. Sounds terrible I know, but he will then for ever shy away from that peace of lawn.
Hope your week has been going well. (except for the dog on your lawn...haha.
Colin.
How fun for your girls! They look like they truly enjoyed their time outside and I wish it was as warm here as it is cold there. I miss going outside and seeing flowers and sunny blue skies.
Sorry about the dog. Perhaps you should go out to get your paper while she is allowing her dog to go. I bet she would stop if she saw you watching.

Gloves in Florida? Oh my! And I thought it was cold here in Dallas. I agree bring the sunshine back the the normal winter temps here of 60. :-)
Your girls are beautiful. I live in northern Utah and it is freezing. Normally the high is around 15 degrees F each day throughout March. The other day it was -11 F when I went to work at 9am. It is miserable. If only it didn't last until April or May, I wouldn't mind it as much.
LOVE your backyard... just beautiful.. I would totally freak out with the water.. you know me a lunatic.. with everything. LOL
Hey what is that bird called? We have alot in cali.. is it a stork? LOL.....
