In Jesus' Name

I had to make a crap load of phone calls. Miss H is having her tonsils and adenoids removed but for some reason doctors are way too busy to worry about it right this minute. I'm about fed up with her pediatric doc. I tried to explain that she should have surgery during spring break so she didn't miss any more school. The initial appointment to see the ENT was Monday. Yep. They're whoppers. He says. Duh. Okay. Let's schedule the appointment for day surgery. Nurse explains he's not available until May. Huh. My kid can barely breathe. He'll need to see her a couple days prior so that can be on April 19th. That's a couple weeks prior. What's wrong with these people these days. Very well. Let's just get her scheduled and taken care of. She'll need to miss a week of school. Okay. Give me a note. Whatev. Seriously. Tired of the doctors down here. Everything is a hassle.

Hannah needs to see an ophthalmologist. No need for a referral states her pediatrician. I call numerous eye centers and each of them state they see no one under the age of 10, 16. Now there are no specialist to see a five year old these days. How hard does it have to be. Most don't take our insurance. What else is new.

The girls need a dentist appointment as well. Their teeth haven't been cleaned in ten years because no one takes our insurance and no dentist sees children who are five either. Where I come from, this was never a problem. Is Florida the only state that everything health wise is a freaking complete mess. Really. What the deal. I'm on the phone forever. Not to mention trying to get my schooling taken care of. So I can't keep track of who I'm calling, speaking to or what I'm calling for.

Meanwhile, the girls are playing Wii, on the computer and I have to hold the phone away from my mouth to yell shhhhhhhhhhhh. Really, I'm whispering but shhhhhhhhhhhh sounds loud. And I'm snapping my fingers. Like a crazy person.

The dentist office I'm calling is not answering and I don't even know if they accept kids their age or their insurance so it says leave a message and my message goes.........

Hi! I'm calling to find out if you see children ages 5 and 10, if your accepting new patients and if you take this insurance. If you do, could you please call me back asap at this phone number.......In Jesus' name......I thank you very much!

Holy Freakin Shit. I was going to say In Jesus' Name I Pray.......When I realized what I was saying I just said thank you very much and hung the phone up cracking up, like oh my goodness gracious. What is going on with my momboggling head.

I honestly can't stop laughing. What a day in the life of mom.

Stormy

After getting my new camera this past weekend, I was really surprised that it completely sucked ass and could not believe that it was no better than my Canon SD 750. First of all, I don't need to place my eyeball up to the camera to take a shot. As we browsed the camera's at Costco, we came across the Nikon D5000 and that was the one I wanted. Nope. Sold out. Take your boxes down then. Okay. Didn't want to settle for the D3000 but they had one left in stock and I wanted a new camera right then and there. I thought anything was going to be better than what I have. Na. Piece of shit. I played with it all day Sunday. Well. Dad did.

I probably shot two good photos.  This One- and This One.

And even those ain't that great. But in either case, I returned that camera last night in hopes of getting a new one but they were closing so not much time to search. I need to go elsewhere. Obviously. Which I hate to do because I like to make one pit stop and be finished. Unless I'm clothes shopping. They do have a Canon EOS Rebel XS that Ally recommended to me so I might be getting that one. Hopefully it's as great as I need it to be.

Onto the topic of the stormy headline. We then go to clean out the car because it's filthy from the trees around our place. It was really windy, dark, and cloudy.

The girls had a blast running around the parking lot. Laughing and getting the energy out. Dad is yelling across the street, "Where Ya Going." "Don't Worry About It, Clean The Car." I love how he needs me right by his side whenever he's doing something. Like seriously. Relax. We're going for a walk so I can take some pictures of the most ridiculous things in life because that's what I like to do.

Yep. Camera sucks.

My mom texts me at 6am to make sure we are okay. Thinking we were caught in a tornado. Who's awake at 6 a.m. Not I. We're fine Mother. Just some wind and a little rain. And dark clouds. What floor are you on. Third, right. No Mom. First. Oh No. Like the third floor is going to save me. Huh. Senile.

Very Well. Weather is better today. Car is clean and I'm ready to lay out;)

Let Me Explain

As we strolled down the aisles in Costco this past weekend, Miss H hopped up onto a big pile of Mac & Cheese boxes, crying she wanted them soooo soooo bad. I don't buy macaroni and cheese. I think it's really bad. On occasion, Once in a great blue moon, they order it at a restaurant. I have never liked making it, buying it or eating it so, I refuse to give it to my children. I just don't like it. Well. To relieve my child from whining in front of complete strangers, I tell her to grab a box so I can snap a photo. For memories because she'll never taste that crap in my house. Who would have thought that taking a photo would stop the whining. If you look carefully, you will see in her demon eyes that she is really pissed at me for refusing to buy them.

Book Store

While waiting for daddy-o to get out of Sprint, us gals snuck in to get some money from him and told him we'd be in Borders. Waiting in the car was too hot. Sun was beaming and the air wasn't cooling it. He hands the money right over cause if not we make embarrassing moments. He knows better. Right next door we go to get a white chocolate mocha for mom and goodies for the gals. Book stores for us is like giant candy shops. The excitement is like no other. We're attracting so much attention. I wanted to ask the lady if she'd like to get in the picture. Really we're paying no mind to anyone, just doing our usual.
Setting mocha's on books to take photos, digging through deals like we'd never seen before, picking out everything in site, spreading them out on tables to figure out which ones we really want. But mom, I want them all. I don't even know how much money your father gave me, chillax. Reading an Easter story while an elderly woman asks if that's the book she bought her grandchild for his communion. I don't know. Why don't you just look at the book instead of interrupting my reading to my child. Goodness. She was really thrilled that it was the same book she just bought. Not from there she tells me. Like I give a shit where you bought a book from.

Good thing it was a short book. Miss H don't sit too long knowing there are all kinds of goodies throughout this place.
She picked out more than that one. Boy you should of seen us. Books falling out of our arms, coffee left on shelves. Where's my coffee. Can't forget the good stuff. Geez. That was good. Dad comes in a few times to check on us. Sprint was taking too long to fix his phone. Mind you, it's a brand new phone. No need for the problems. Dust is in the screen. He's flipping out on the dude trying to fix it. I'm human. He told B. Humans don't let dust get under the screen. Shame on you. It's worse than before. If anything happens. The slightest things. B gets real anal. I'm telling him to calm the fuck down. Usually it's the other way around but I've been good. Real GOOD. Haven't you noticed. My posts haven't been about angry shit lately. I think I lost some viewers due to it. Sorry. I'm good. Loving every bit of it.
So here's what we bought. Fun stuff.

Oh. Not that. These:

Of course Miss H wanted to paint the eggs, be a wizard, and make bugs but she was overwhelming me with everything. So we got the eggs started:

The tree house full of bugs going:
But you'll have to stay tuned to see the results of everything;)
Hope your having a fabulous Sunday. XOXO

Pretty Woodpecker

Yesterday, while the girls were playing hide and seek, I snapped some shots of this pretty woodpecker. The birds love the palm trees. They sing and chat. Music to my ears. Not annoying at all. Sometimes birds chirping can get me peeved but I really enjoy the ones around here. They tell stories.

I Believe ♥ In Pink

When I was a little girl, I don't remember having anything pink much less girlie. Which is probably one of the reasons I love the color so much. I adore the site and think it warms my soul in a sense. I often pleasure myself now through my daughters who sometimes hate it because I admire it so much. But really who wouldn't love all things beautiful. Not to mention oh so delish.

Fab Finds Friday

Y'all know I love Friday's. This happens to be an extra special one because it's the beginning of our Spring Break. Wahhhhooooo. Ecstatic. A teensy weensy bit of rain but the weather is going to be in the 80's today. The school called to tell me that Fitness Fun Friday was canceled because of it-bummer. They were going to have an Easter Egg Hunt and a day full of fun. I'm sure they'll do something indoors. The weather better participate on Sunday because I plan on taking their Easter pics outside. I cleaned my purse or should I say luggage bag out so that I can transfer all the goods to a spring bag. The bag I was using was enormous. Of course I got it because I thought it would be easier to throw everything into when we're out and about. You see, that never works out for me. I end up putting flip flops, snacks, sunscreen, you name it-it's in there. The joys of motherhood. You never have a tidy purse. It lasts for a minute then it's a nightmare.

This is just moms stuff. The girls then add their junk:

Really. Do you need a box of these. Guess so.

I can't wait to get rid of that black purse. They're good for winter but now it's spring. I have to get the beach tote's out now that we'll be down there more often. It's a tote place around here. We have way too many but I think I might have to add to it after I found this one:
This bag my girls is for mom only. Hands off. Juicy is my fave. It's perfect for the beach. FabTastic.

You know jewelry is just getting better and better by the minute. I have this obsession with bracelets lately. Lucky is another favorite brand of mine. Their tanks are oh so comfy. And the bracelets and rings are on my top 10 things to get this weekend.

Just stunning. Could you be more fabulous. I think not. The top one is a dragonfly-how pretty. You can find these at zappos as well. And this Necklace.

Okay. So I'm not exactly the size I want to be for my bikini yet......sooooooo. I have been looking for a flowy dress to wear on the beach. I found this amazing one at Nordstrom. It too is Lucky Brand. Which means extremely comfortable.

Perfect for the beach. And these clogs when I'm done smushing my feet in the sand. Of course after I rinse, silly.

The thing I love about Spring. White Sandals. They go with lots.

I thought about going to the tanning booth for a minute to get some color before laying on the beach but I'm not. Since I haven't been to one in years and knowing what the sun makes you look like versus the booth, I'll just lay in the sun. With sunscreen of course. I use at least 45 SPF
and it gives my skin a better tone. People think that you don't get color with sunscreen. Yes you do. It's a must. I'm a freak about it. One time last year, B took the girls out and forgot to put some on them-You can imagine how I was going off. It's so important. Especially down here. I have loads on hand. The most recent one I bought was Panama Jack. Good Stuff.

Usually it's the 75 SPF for the girls and it most certainly will be once it gets smoldering hot.

So what's everyone doing for Spring Break. If your venturing off down here {SW FL} track me down;) Be safe and have fun.

XOXO
