This little girl has been having an amazing school experience thus far. I know it just began but I was worried about how well she would adjust and turns out she's doing wonderful.
The first day, we were standing at the bus stop when a mother was telling me about the little girl walking up the street. She said she was aggressive and a bully. I thought, great. Made sure the bus driver sat Hannah up front and she's been sitting in the first seat ever since. There are only three girls at the stop. {Including mine.} So yesterday when they all got off the bus, Hannah and the "little bully" ran to meet me, skipping and hopping along with big smiles. They were giggling and laughing. Holding hands.
The girls mother was no where to be found so we walked home. They talked and continued to befriend one another.
Girl: "What does your dad look like."
Hannah: "Um. He has white skin, lots of hairs all over and I think brown hair."
We said goodbye when her building came and continued to walk home.
Hannah says, "Everyone on the bus tries to hurt her."
"That's not very nice," I say.
"I'm the only one who's nice to her and she's my friend."
I expressed to my little Hannah Banana that she did the right thing. She's a very good friend and no matter what anyone else does to someone you always stick up for what you believe in.
I've always taught my girls to be a leader, never a follower. This little peach of mine is so friendly with everyone. She doesn't care what anyone else thinks. If she likes someone she stands by them and that is what I love this week.
Mackenzie had one hell of a first day. Her schedule was messed up so she walked into an 8th grade science class {in the middle of it} the teacher asked if she could help her and she replied that this was her class. M had thought she was advanced or something. The teacher took her schedule and said, "huh. they did put you down but its a mistake." She heads to the guidance office to get it taken care of. They then give her a 7th grade schedule. She turns back around and gets a new one. They hand her a boys schedule and the boy hers. Nice. She said this wasn't correct still. Finally after that mess she appears late for several classes and then missed the bus after school. When dad finally picked her up she came in all grown with herself looking whooped. Ate her sandwich and began to tell me all about it. All the while through every detail she is giggling and thought it was funny. The M I knew two months ago would have melted and cried. I guess the long talks and encouragements are paying off. My girls are growing. Beautifully. I Love it.

I also love buckets and baskets.
I found this one at TJMAXX for $2.50. I just like it. Not sure what I'm gonna do with it.
These ones were on sale at Target. $3.94. Who can beat that.
and these baskets. I still need to organize them into my closet but for $3.97, you can't go wrong. Baskets are expensive-when you find a deal, grab em.
What do you love this week.
xoxo
