I wish all of you a super nice weekend with lots of smiles, laughter, love and friendships! I'm going to be spending a lot of time with family, movies, the beach and some much needed quality {pizza} time. I got this gorgeous vintage black and white botanical from the graphics fairy. I'm in Love: Magnetic Bookmarks

I could collect all things wonderful which means I would so need a mansion. I am in love with these bookmarks. How creative and beautiful. The girls actually go through bookmarks like hot water runs cold.

What's unique about these is the entire handmade process. The thoughfulness that goes into reading. It's simply clever.

Mini Pies + Me = HelloYumminess

Friends, my heavenly....I have never seen mini pies until now! How adorbs. and I bet even yummier.

Ginger Peach Almond Wedding Pie

Crust:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp salt

3 tbs sugar

12 tbs cold unsalted butter

6 tbs ice water

Filling:

6 very ripe peaches

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup tapioca

1/4 tsp nutmeg

Topping:

3 tbs minced crystallized ginger

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup crushed toasted almonds

1/4 cup unsalted butter

Crust: Have flour, salt, sugar, and butter cold and rub together with your hands to incorporate but still leaving small pieces of butter in the mixture. Lightly toss with ice water. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate, preferably overnight. Roll out and cut to fit tart shells. Prebake tart shells at 350 degrees F for a few minutes until golden.

Filling: Combine all ingredients and fill prebaked tart shells, then bake at 350 degrees F until mixture just begins to bubble.

Topping: Combine ingredients and rub together with your hands to form a crumbly topping mixture. Cover tarts with crumb topping and bake an additional 10 minutes. Makes 12 (4-inch) tarts {via}

Always on my Mind: 9 years

Today brother, you were taken from our lives. You were laid to rest and now your spirit roams free! I never imagined after nine years, I'd still feel your presence, each and every day. Yes, I knew you'd always be in my heart, on my mind.......but never a day goes by without you near. It's like an invisible being {i feel you around me all the time}! I'm not just saying this---I truly feel my little brother. I feel him looking at me sometimes and think for a brief moment that it's weird AND then I smirk, roll over and just feel the most easing feeling imaginable.
Dougie, you may not be here in front of our eyes. I may not be able to hug you, kiss your cheeks or feel your skin but i know you are my angel. You walk beside me, whiz around corners and watch over us to make sure we're safe and sound. Yet I do not see you, I can still blow you kisses, tell you I love you and goodnight, laugh and dance with you! And I know you know I'm calling out to you. I know you hear me.

God had better plans for you! He gave me 20 years of your life and throughout those years we shared a bond that drove us close in the very end. We shared secrets, cries, laughter and prayer. We shared heartache and pain, love and hope, dreams and drives. Ultimately, God knew what was best and took you home. Home to a safe place where you could no longer be hurt, heart broken or tore to pieces. I never questioned the good lord why he took you, i already knew. I am at peace because I know you are brother. You are our One Love, our peaceful angel and my only brother.

I'm in Love: {&Coffee Talk}

Happy Friday Loves! I got a moment to look at pinterest more in depth and fixed my account a little this morning. And I love the photos and all the inspiring things but am not sure if I'm quite hooked on it, so I'm trying it out and you can click these photos to see where I found them via pinterest.

I LOVE Candy and decor, so how about a Lollipop Tree! Isn't it so cute! and I love prints---i have no idea why people don't link directly to the product, so I'm noticing that that is something I don't like on there. It simply says via etsy, well that is not good enough, ugh!

I wish there was a local farmers market here, been really wanting to go take my own pics of the fruits/veggies and prettiness! These are for today's what i'm in love with and i'm linking up here: come share what you're in love with---

Purple Hair

I did the hair....again! It is now purple and caramel brown! I actually love it despite the fact that parts of my scalp is blotched purple! I think I will continue to keep the hair a darker color with some brightness in the front and we'll see, maybe when this completely washes out, I'll try blue or pink!;D

I used the Splat. It's actually rather easy to use. I mean of course it's kind of messy but if you have it organized, you should be able to keep everything stain free! I also used foil to separate the caramel brown and the bleach. I don't know...it's kinda hot, dontcha think!!!?? xoxo
